Did you check the disk for errors, already?
I'm trying to get myself psyched to do the Repair Install. It seems pretty complicated. And I'm still not sure whether or not I can use the Windows 7 Install CD (one of the two that came with the computer), since it is Windows 7, and not Windows 7 SP1. The instructions are a bit confusing (to me at least) on that issue.
You also mentioned a Simplix Update Pack. I've tried to find more info on that, but the only places that appear to have any detailed info are all in Russian. Do you know where one can get an English language version of the Simplix Update Pack?
You've been very generous and helpful with your advice. I'll certainly understand if you prefer not to dwell on this issue further, since it is at least in part, off the main topic of the WSUS program.
