download KB3125574 cumulative update instead of 200 patches

Why do you "dearly hope it will never be included"? It seems like it is preferable to 200+ individual patches? Nicht so?

on a clean install of windows 7 64 bit and running this file it says its not intended for my computer, i have also tried it on a 32 bit computer to the same result and also tried it on every version of windows 7 32 and 64 bit and still get not intended for my computer....... I think its pointless and do hope its not downloaded by default.

Also setting up wsus to download it and install it fails and on further checking the error its again not required ........

If you are referring to KB3125574:

1) To apply this update, you must install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 (KB976932) and April 2015 servicing stack update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 (KB3020369).

2) You also need at least 4 GB of free disk space to install this update. After a brand-new installation, the disk usage will increase by between 1 GB and 2 GB, depending on processor type (x86 vs. x64) and edition (Enterprise or ThinPC).

If you haven't installed SP1 and/or KB3020369, you will probably get the message you describe. You also need to use the correct version (x86 or x64) of KB3125574.

It contains the full truckload of Telemetry shit. Believe it or not, there are users out there who actually care what is applied to their OS. In that regard, the pack is just a nightmare.

According to M$, you need to install SP1, then KB3020369, BEFORE KB3125574. That seems quite clear.

Yes, WSUSOU will still download every SECURITY update that is contained in KB3125574. The WSUSOU download program has no way of knowing what you have installed. However, the WSUSOU update program SHOULD recognize that you already have various things installed, and not repeat the installation. Note that KB3125574 also has most of the "recommended" and "optional" updates that WSUSOU does NOT include. Boco is concerned it also has the telemetry (aka spyware) updates and W10 nagware, but (according to another article I read, in which they author tested this) it does not. But, if you've already downloaded everything with WSUS, and kept a folder of any additional updates you need, there is no point in repeating the effort, except for simplicity. It won't take any less time to install.

As to nightmare's: Currently, if I wish to reinstall Windoze 7, I have to
1) Install from the DVD
2) Run WSUSOffline to install SOME of the required updates.
3) Reinstall Service Pack 1, because (if I don't) WU complains that it needs to be installed (as I reported in another thread).
4) Install (manually, or with some sort of script) 67 additional updates (not including the 24 W10 nagware and telemetry updates).

IF the nagware and telemetry are NOT included, it would certainly be easier to user the cumulative updates. If they are, it's just a matter of time before they are mandatory.

That Rollup has been torn apart and there are several Telemetry-related (and, if I remember correctly) also some Win10-related things inside. For that reason I will never let it near any of my machines. Totschka!
