Can't install updates

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 32bit italian, Office 2010 italian

WSUS Offline Update 10.7.3

I performed UpdateGenerator.exe and UpdateInstaller.exe and everything seemed to work good, however after startup if I check Windows Update it gives these missing updates:
- KB2871997
- KB2872339
- KB3004375
- KB3031432
- KB3033929
- KB3045999
- KB3046269
- KB2882822
- KB3068708
- Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7

If I try to update all these updates from WU, it seems to go right but after Windows restart I find again these update, especially the last one (Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7).

I tried to install IE11 downloaded stand alone from web got the same result.. and even I install it through WSUS Offline Update.. Nothing to do!

Any idea?

Could you post the content of C:\Windows\wsusofflineupdate.log in [code]-tags?

Please open a cmd and enter:

Code: Select all

cd "<your wsusou dir>\cmd"
AddCustomLanguageSupport.cmd ita


Then rerun the download. Your repo should now contain Italian updates.
This should fix the IE issue.

Done AddCustomLanguageSupport.cmd ita, but even if the installation gone right, after Windows restart I found Windows 8:

After any installation/Winows restart I find the same 10 updates!!

Looks like it prepared the Installation of IE11. Rerun it again (shoukd take 3 times until it's done).

Installed 3-4 times (with Windows restart) but again my IE is version 8.

After IE11 installation it automatically creates a file pointing to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=299204 where I read about some updates you have to install before IE11 so I tried again to install the other 9 updates but also these updates aren't really installed after restart (maybe I tried with WU, but it's the same with WSUSOU).

the update KB2729094-v2 is missing in your install-log-file. This is a prerequesite for IE11. It should be downloaded to your wsusou-repository (... \client\w61\glb\). If you don´t know how to install a *.cab-file, download the *.msu-file from the M$-site you posted the link. After installation reboot and try to install IE11 again. You will find the ie11...exe-file in the wsusou-repository (... \client\w61\glb\).

I run C:\Temp\wsusoffline1073\client\w61\glb\Windows6.1-KB2729094-v2-x86.cab and it said it's already installed!

The problem is everytime I update Windows after restart the same 10 updates come out:

I suspect Internet Explorer 11 per Windows 7 is the cause but I'm not sure..

Any idea?
