Although UpdateInstaller is a semi-manual install (uses DISM.exe to install .cab files and WUSA.exe for .msu patches), it is a silent install (warnings/errors suppressed). Installing the file manually will most probably tell you what's wrong.

Before manually installing a .msu patch, shut down the Windows Update service.

Hi TjShredder,
please take a look at the cmd-window and note the file path of the update, which does not install.
In this case (screenshot): ...\client\w61-x64\glb\Windows6.1-KB2533623-x64.msu

Und die Meldung "Suche nach Updates auf diesem Computer" ist normal, WUA prüft dabei, ob das Update überhaupt anwendbar ist, oder, ob die installierten Pakete sowieso schon neuer sind als die des Updates.
Wer Rechtschreibfehler findet, darf sie behalten oder an den Meistbietenden versteigern. / Everybody finding a misspelling is allowed to keep or sell it.

This update rollup is superseded by July 2016 update rollup for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (KB3172605) that was released on July 21, 2016.
