Meine Vista-VM ist im Büro, aber auf einem Server 2008 (x64) erhalte ich:

Vielleicht ist es auch wieder mal eine Vista-Starter-Beschränkung. Zur Not müssen wir die anderen Editionen testen.

Ich hab' keine "Starter"-Edition, vermute aber, dass es an der Umleitung von "timeout" liegt:

Ich teste das. Übrigens hat die Vista Starter auch eine Beschränkung auf maximal drei Programme gleichzeitig (weitere Probleme möglich). Sollte es nicht einfach lösbar sein, wäre eine vereinfachte Prozedur für Vista Starter denkbar.

Übrigens ist auf den 32bit Vista-Datenträgern die Starter-Edition mit drauf, und kann durch Überspringen der Key-Eingabe ausgewählt werden. Nur mal so am Rande.

Das Timeout-Kommando wird klaglos ausgeführt. Die Fehlermeldung spricht ja auch von "Input Redirection"...

Naja, >nul ist ja 'output redirection' (ins Nirvana). Ich vermute das Problem wohl eher bei den Pipe-Verkettungen...

Die 3-Programme-Beschränkung ist eine rein künstlich Beschränkung der Vista-Starter-Version. MS wollte wohl, daß viele Netbook-Besitzer auf die höheren Versionen upgraden, kostenpflichtig natürlich.

Klar, die hatte ich auch als erstes im Sinn.

Dagegen spricht allerdings, dass sowohl :StopWUSvc als auch :StartWUSvc dieselbe Verkettung enthalten wie :WaitService und dass zwischen

Es IST der Timeout-Befehl (obwohl ich es nicht nachstellen konnte). Und es kann überall auftreten.
