Does anyone have the XP updates disk?

Cababs, I really appreciate your uploading the iso for XP, but I guess I am no longer competent to perform basic functions - all I can find at your link is text files.

I do not use OneDrive at all, so maybe not understanding the interface is my problem? but when I go there, I see four items:
- a folder labeled Client that eventually leads me to 15 text files
- a folder labeled Static that gets me to 18 text files
- download_install_lists.zip that seems to contain only the same text files
- an excel file labeled WOU Links

What am I missing?

BTW - I have tried downloading the updates normally from the Legacy tab, but both XP and Office 2003 updates fail with a File integrity verification failure. I have tried this multiple times with the same results. I am guessing that this means that M$ has removed the stuff I am trying to access? I cannot see anything in the log that tells me specifically what is failing. It does not seem to be a problem on my end, since I was able to download the XP x64 updates just fine (I do not want those - just tried it as a test).

(Note: I did find the FAQ about the integrity verification failure message, so I have removed the files from the \md folder and will retry the download.)

Any additional help would be greatly appreciated.

the files you see are correct, however my internet is not the best and it will take a while to upload almost 3gb to OneDrive. as of writing this it is 1.2gb uploaded.

it should be done by the end of the day.

I have never verified my files. I have had no problem.

the excel file labelled WOU link is used to ready the custom text files. these lists contain additional updates that WOU does not pick up. these are mainly custom/optional updates.

My understanding of Windows Updates is limited so apologies if any of my questions display ignorance!

I've just had to restore an old PC to its original state with XP SP2 and now looking for a way to apply Windows Updates.
If I understand correctly I have 3 choices:-

  1. Download WSUS Offline Updater and run it for XP.
The latest version is 10.6...but does that still support XP Updates? Or should I follow Mauser's example and use version 9.2.1?
Mauser - did the download work after you removed the files from the \md folder?
  2. Download wsusoffline-wxp-enu1.iso from the link kindly provided by Cababs.
  3. Use the Microsoft Catalog, http://catalog.update.microsoft.com in some way? But this seems to be aimed more at retrieving specific updates.
Should I at least retrieve the XP SP3 update and apply?
I would be grateful for any advice!

1. Anything beyond 9.2.1 does NOT support XP in any way.
2. It is an ISO and should contain any update released after SP3. Depending on the WSUSOU selections when creating the ISO, it might also include SP3.
3. SP3 is not a simple update, it's a Service Pack - a Rollup of hundreds of updates. It MUST be applied as WSUSOU does only download and install updates after SP3.

In other words: If we speak XP here, we mean XP SP3. Older SP levels are not on any support list.

since you are starting with SP2 then SP3 will work. the ISO include XP SP3 and post-SP3 updates. it should make you up-to-date till the date of the ISO creation.

I have used this on a VM from SP2 and SP3(slipstreamed). both work.

@Toomkey
