WSUS size

Hi, I know this has been asked before but i can't find an answer which is recent so i will ask here.

What is the COMPLETE size of a full download for all versions of windows and office - basically everything that wsus offers?

I have been using this program for several years but yesterday i reinstalled win7 ult on my own machine and ran WSUS offline as i would usually do but this time it seems to be breaking windows update. I have reinstalled Win7 3 times - each time using WSUS which installs the updates but then afterwards, windows updates doesn't work......just sits there for HOURS & HOURS checking for updates - its still 'checking for updates' now. I haven't updated it since the middle of last year so it is missing quite a lot of patches and i have no windows 10 updates at all but i do intend on downloading them now.

Ideally i would like to begin afresh with a new clean download of wsus and delete my existing (9GB+) version but i am on pay-as-you-go internet so this is going to be expensive - hence my question.

The long search problem has been fixed in wsusou 10.3.1. It's caused by the increasing number of updates. For some more info, take a look at this topic: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5366

Hi aker, Many thanks for the reply. This has been wrecking my head for 2 days. I am on the 4th Win7 install now and its STILL 'checking for updates after about 6 hrs!!!!! I will now manually install the patches mentioned in the thread you posted and hopefully i will get my machine updated before MS release windows 18 LOL"!!!!!

Many, many thanks to you....you're an absolute star! I installed the patches in the thread onto a clean Win7/SP1 install, rebooted and then ran windows update. IT WORKS Its currently downloading 203 patches now.

After 2 days and several installs, you got it working for me, i can't thank you enough.
