sticks on listing updates

I have used this tool on a couple of occasions, last time using the most recent version, and same things happen each time, it hangs on determining list of updates needed, after installing .net, silverlight etc. I have found that installing KB3083324 and KB3087039 appears to cure the issue, and updates are found after about 10mins.

Also last time I used the tool, my system rebooted a couple of times, and hung. I manually rebooted OK, but the admin account created did not delete itself.

Just thought this may be useful. KB3083324 is the most recent update agent.

Which version of wsusou do you use?

First time I used it, used version before 10.1. This was on a 7 64bit system. Last night used the most up to date version on a 7 32bit system, same thing happened, until I installed the 2 KB patches.

Please try installing the most recent IE update (in this case KB3078601).
It's caused by the Windows Update Agent failing to parse all dependencies/supersedences as fast as it should.

I note that KB3087039 has various descriptions. The x86

One article says W7 SP1, another- Vista. x86 and x64 attributes also vary.

Windows6.1-KB3087039-x64.msu declares it is not applicable to this W7 Pro 64 bit installation.

My previous post was posted about 8 months ago. You'll have to replace th KB with the most recent one.
