Dot Net framework 4.6 doesn't install on server core version

Have tested trunk 698 against all the current server operating systems.

It failed in exactly the same way under W2K8R2, W2k12 R2 and W2K12 core versions.

I can't attach a logfile - I get the extension is not allowed.

The install of Dot Net 4.6 definitely starts in gui mode and crashes

Your command is the following:
NDP46-KB3045557-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe /passive /norestart /lcid 1033
The crash is expected with the passive switch, as that is gui mode.

I manually tested the following:
NDP46-KB3045557-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe /quiet /norestart /lcid 1033
This works correctly and displays no gui installer..

Would you please execute .\client\cmd\DetermineSystemProperties.vbs manually on a CORE system, and then check if the %TEMP%\SetSystemEnvVars.cmd file contains the line

Maybe we need a diagnostic script/tool, so the user can run it on the affected system and create a resulting package with information for checking into the problem... Essentially that could be the "Determine..." scripts dumping their results into a text file one can upload here.
