update requires me to click okay after every reboot

I don't know what has been going on, but lately every time I use offline update, it has been a nightmare. Mainly, every time the computer reboots, I have to click okay on a windows dialog box to resume the script. Any idea whats going on here?

It sits here forever... Like literally overnight. This is the second computer this has happened to.

What version do you use? Latest versions will remove the ZoneID marker from the scripts, which prevents such warnings (they are put there by Windows, WSUSOU, as it is an IE setting).
For now, solve issue1 by unchecking the box and press run. That will unblock the file.

Issue2 is the fault of MS. Almost everyone is encountering that delay, currently. Depending on machine power, it needs minutes to hours. At least latest trunk versions of WSUSOU try to ease the pain by installing an IE update as prerequisite (seems to shorten the waiting time by a great amount).

To finally fix issue 1, please open a command propmt and enter:

Just out of curiosity, is this the same issue that is causing the normal windows update to act slowly?
Often after issue 2 occurs, I will shut down the computer, clean up offline updates leftovers, and then try and do it manually, and it just takes forever to search.

The same reason, as both are using the same component that causes this: Windows Update Agent.

Users should always provide some basic information:

• Which version of WSUS Offline Update they are using
• Which Windows version they like to update

Otherwise everyone just has to guess. But this information still seems to be missing. An often cited discussion, why this information is important, is at http://www.catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-questions.html .

The second screenshot says, that the operating system is "Windows 7 HomePremium".

The "Medium build date: 08/26/2015" suggests, that this is hardly the latest version of WSUS Offline Update. It must be version 10.0 or an earlier version.

But the problem, that searching for updates takes too long, has been addressed twice since then.

- Integrated Windows Update Client September 2015 (kb3083324/kb3083325) for Windows 7 / 8.1 (x86/x64) and Server 2008/2012 R2 (Thanks to "harry")

Modifications in version 10.1
- Speeded up determination of missing updates on Windows Vista, 7 and Server 2008(R2) (x86/x64) systems by installing kb3078601 (MS15-080) as a prerequisite (Thanks to "Denniss", "Dalai" and the community)
