How to interupt a UpdateGenerator.exe Run?

I just did an update from version 8.5 to 9.3.1 and ran the UpdateGenerator.exe file.

The complete update took over 7 hours. Fortunately I didn't have to move the machine.

Is there a way to interrupt the update without losing all the downloaded and validated information?

Every completed download (with valid signature) will stay where it is. The only thing to do, if you get an error on next run, is to delete the contents of ./client/md (the checksums), to get it going again.
