Incorrect # of Updates Installed between WOU versions

@boco
It's all-language.
I usually create a all-language wsusou ISO as soon as a product gets EoS.

@Raegar
I'll split the ISO into 5GB parts and upload them to 4 OneDrives I have access to. This will take some time.
I'll update this post as soon as a part finishes uploading.
The parts have been created using 7-Zip (http://www.7-zip.org)
Please tell me, if you downloaded the files, so I can free the space as soon as possible.

I need the space...

Do you want the file, too?
Then I'll split it again and put it back up

Yes, thought the time frame would be a little higher.

Torrent would be ideal for distribution, but might not be practical.

I'm currently reuploading the repacked files to OneDrive and PM you the links as soon as finished.
As Dalai suggested, I'll upload 1GB parts to some free hoster, but that takes mor time than 4 5GB files to OneDrive.

It's becoming more of an investigation for self-knowledge at this point... =)

I've identified the following patches below, get installed from your 2014-built media, that do not get installed with my December 2019-built media (using older Sept. wsusscn2.cab):
Note that most of these relate to IE8...
Code: Select all
2909210 - IE8 Security Update - Can no longer be downloaded from Microsoft
2936068 - IE8 Security Update - Same as above...
2964358 - IE8 Security Update - Same as above...
969084 - RDC 7.0 Feature Update - Can still be downloaded from Microsoft (via StaticDownload file)
2813347 - WXP Security Update - Same as above...

However what I found more interesting is that the latter-built media includes several more security updates not available in 2014 (naturally because most of them were released after)
Code: Select all
2481109 - All items below are WXP Security Updates
2813345
3197835
4012583
4012598
4018466
4019204
4022747
4024323
4024402
4025218
4500331
958644

Note that in addition to the items above, I've a static defined download and update list to get me to as close to secure as feasibly possible
This list is verified to have no supersedes, according to the catalog
Code: Select all
898461,Update for Windows XP
2749655,Update for Windows XP
971029,Update for Windows XP
968389,Update for Windows XP
961118,Update for Windows XP
952287,Update for Windows XP
951978,Update for Windows XP
2345886,Update for Windows XP
970430,Update for Windows XP
975467,Security Update for Windows XP
2808679,Update for Windows XP
2598845,Update for Internet Explorer 8 Compatibility View List for Windows XP

At least for these updates I know, what they are for:
Code: Select all
3197835
4012583
4012598
4018466
4019204
4022747
4024323
4024402
4025218
4500331

These are the WannaCry/BlueKeep updates MS backported to "normal" XP-customers.
