ERROR: cannot verify WOL 'Plesk' certificate for mkisofs

Postby Desert77 » 08.07.2019, 19:45

Hello,

I have downloaded and setup v 11.7.3 for a new Win10 workstation.

The following were edited to resolve [http: vs https:] URL settings:
1. 'https://download.wsusoffline.net/StaticDownloadLink-recent.txt' within the file 'CheckOUVersion.cmd'
2. 'https://download.wsusoffline.net/mkisofs.exe' within the file 'StaticDownloadLink-mkisofs.txt'

The Mkisoft.exe fails to download. Please advise.

The full output log is as follows:

Well, the solution is obvious: Don't use HTTPS for the links that point to download.wsusoffline.net. Although this forum (forums.wsusoffline.net) uses a regular (Let's Encrypt) certificate, it doesn't mean that download.wsusoffline.net does the same.

wsusou per default uses "http://" for downloading it's own components from "download.wsusoffline.net".
As far as I understand, you edited the files to use "https://" instead of "http://".
wsusoffline.net server currently isn't configured to provide full https-support yet. Please stay with "http://" as long as there is an official update enabling "https://" for wsusoffline-domains.

Hello,

...It is obvious I shouldn't need to change the URL to HTTPS, but the out of the box setting fails too.

The output log is as follows:

Resolving download.wsusoffline.net (download.wsusoffline.net)... 185.160.0.158

Could you download using your browser?
Are you behind some kind of proxy / firewall?
