Stalled on Listing ids of missing updates

I did it myself on a 32Bit Vista system yesterday: turned-off automatic Windows update + reboot + installed the update listed as new/changed from last patchday + reboot + re-enable windows update.
Took about 10-15 minutes to find the updates afterwards.
If your Visa was not on August patchday level you'd have to check for and install all updates listed on the Krelay site.

I understand that, but I have 120 systems to do...
As WSUS Offline has been capable of pre-installing this update for some time now, I presume there
is some file or script somewhere that handles this. I would like to edit this file to reflect the new KB
numbers so I can update the systems. Anyone know where this particular info is in the WSUS Offline tree?

Ok, that file has recently been updated, I ran the UpdateGenerator yesterday, so my file looks
like the one on that link. But the hanging listing for updates issue occurs.
Is it recommendable to add extra KB numbers from the link on wu.krelay.de ?

Testing it again, it becomes more clear why this fails:
The update kb3185911 has not been downloaded for Vista by the UpdateGenerator. Only for Windows 7.
When running DoUpdate on Vista, this is displayed:
Checking Windows Update scan prerequisites...
Warning: Update kb3185911 not found.
Then it continues the scan but of course it does not complete within reasonable time.

I downloaded Windows6.0-KB3185911-x86.msu manually into client/w60/glb and now it installed it, rebooted and started the scan again.
So there appears to be some inconsistency inside WSUS Offline where it forgets to download this update during the UpdateGenerator phase although it later needs it to do the update.
The log of the UpdateGenerator has:
2016-09-21 14:00:05 URL:http://download.windowsupdate.com/d/msdownload/update/software/secu/2016/08/windows6.1-kb3185911-x86_8ffad3e4d18531aa0955df7893e892a2404817f0.cab [1530511/1530511] -> "../client/w61/glb/windows6.1-kb3185911-x86_8ffad3e4d18531aa0955df7893e892a2404817f0.cab" [1]
but no similar entry for w60.

Unfortunately, it does not seem to fix the issue. Apparently 3185911 is not the "magic update" for Vista this time.
(the referred article already mentions that the author did not test it on Vista)

Wait! Spoke too soon!
This time, after 45 minutes of scanning it finished the scan and installed the updates.
Still ridiculously slow of course, but nothing that can be done about it and it is acceptable for the out-of-office-hours batch updating.

I'm new to this forum so I hope my question is appropriate. I have a home PC running Vista 32bit SP2. My automatic windows update went into "searching for updates" mode on 12 September and would never complete. I have tried to manually download/install KB 3185911 but I get a return message that this update does not apply to my computer. The download I've attempted is the one listed as Vista x86 on the krelay web site. Can you help?

Thanks

I downloaded the latest version and ran it, and now I encounter this while downloading the Vista updates:

Cleaning up client directory for win glb...
Verifying digital file signatures for win glb...
Creating integrity database for win glb...

Extracting Microsoft's update catalog file package.xml...
Found valid list of superseded updates.
Verifying integrity of existing updates for w60 glb...
..\w60\glb\Windows6.0-KB3185911-x86.msu: No match
hashdeep.exe: Audit failed
Input files examined: 0
Known files expecting: 0
Files matched: 267
Files partially matched: 0
Files moved: 0
New files found: 1
Known files not found: 0

ERROR: File integrity verification failure.

After that, the file is gone again.
Why is this happening?

This is the correct file: https://download.microsoft.com/download ... 11-x86.msu
