WSUS Not Register Updates Installed on Windows Update

I use WSUS for updates offline but when I run Windows Update detects it and install patches again.
What i can do to prevent this happening and windows update not detect same patches again?

Please check C:\Windows\wsusofflineupdate.log for errors. If the are errors, please post an example line for every error-type.

I have the same issue, with a virgin windows 7 install.

Does Windows list any update under Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Installed Updates

MS really did screw the pooch with their Windows (Non-)Update...

Some updates where listed under installed updates but not 210 which was what was installed using WSUS Offline.

That said a I installed a program that required dot net 4.5 and it didn't complain it wasn't installed, then through windows updates it was listed to be installed.

I've just done another install and checked what's under Installed updates after running WSUS Offline which installed 210 updates.

Under Microsoft Windows 17 Updates are listed and 9 listed under Microsoft .NET Framwork 4 Client Profile.

I hope this helps as WSUS Offline would have saved me about 15 hours per install.

I have 1 more left which I'll look at tomorrow.

Same thing happened here today. Updated my WSUS Offline package at 10:00am.

Then manually updated a selected Win 7 machine via WSUSOffline and it indicated all went well. Then I looked into the update history and half of the patches failed to install.

Then - after a reboot - I figured I would check WIndows Update - and the same 16 or so items for May are still there. Ran WU and everything installed fine.

I checked the C:\Windows\wsusofflineupdate.log for errors - and there were no errors?

Not seeing a big reason to use this app if it cannot install the patches correctly AND inform Windows Update that the patches are already installed so it does not detect them again.
