ERROR: File integrity verification failure.

Hello

I am having issues updating an instance of WSUSOffline (v9.6).
It keeps getting stuck with an error message of "ERROR: File integrity verification failure."

I was initially able to perform the downloads but re-running it, see the error message.
The log file states the error below...

Please delete all files inside .\client\md and use wsusou without verification for now.

Wellwellwell. I'm reluctant to switch off the verification. Plus, when I read the viewtopic as suggested by aker, I find that this error dates back some years ago. Funny thing is that the last update (already using Version 9.6) about a month ago was working just fine - and I reckon that this error should have affected my previous update action. No?

Advice would be welcome

If verification fails again please state where exactly it fails (output of cmd window should state location).

Thanx, that made the download run. But a word of advice: You may be immensely familiar with the matter and use _the lyrics_ - please try to imagine my (or other users') sheepish level of half knowledge. "delete the hash file" sent me thinking and discovering. Found it finally in sub directory md. I theeenk... An indication as to where those hash files can be found would have been helpful. But bottom line: Thanx for taking the time! Grateful user speaking here.

Ersteinmal ein dickes Danke an Herrn Wittrock für diese tolle Software. Ich nutze diese Software nun bereits seit geraumer Zeit (v7.5) und bin sehr zufrieden, da sie mir die Arbeit im Heimnetzwerk sehr erleichtert. Nun aber zu meinem "kleinen" Problem:
Ich habe genau wie meine Vorredner das Problem mit der "Verifizierung". Das ich die Hash-Dateien löschen muss ist mir klar, da dies auch in der Dokumentation beschrieben ist. Das Problem tritt bei mir seit der Version 9.1 auf, vorher hatte es ohne Löschen funktioniert. Ich betreibe die Software auf einem Windows-Server 2008 in einem Heimnetzwerk. Warum funktioniert es nun nicht mehr? Am OS wird nichts manipuliert oder geändert. Liegt es am verwendeten OS oder hat sich etwas an der Software (Abfrage) geändert?

Wahrscheinlich liegt es auch bei dir daran, dass MS "vergessen" hat, die unter http://download.windowsupdate.com/msdow ... otsupd.exe zur Verfügung gestellte Datei zu signieren. (siehe auch viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4960 )
Bitte bis auf weiteres die Option "Heruntergeladene Updates verifizieren" deaktivieren!
