I have Office 2010 downloading and updating correctly, and based on the "Office 2013 will be included if another office product is selected", it should work ... and yet there is no other setting I can find to select Office 2013 for inclusion.

For those of us in areas where bandwidth is seriously slow and expensive - good product guys, thanks.

Happens on Win 7, Server 2012 running

Tried ofc glb parametres wwith DownloadUpdates - same issue. Seems to ignor o2k13 entirely, but updates o2k10 fine

There are many updates for Office 2013, but AFAIK none of them is named as a 'Security Patch' or 'Security Update' and listed in wsusscn2.cab, see also Update center for Office, Office servers, and related products.
