I fully updated WSUS Offline 8 for Windows 7 x32 and x64
When I run UpdateInstaller on windows 7 x64, I checked 'Install Ie 9', but update installer told me that is black listed.
[I didn't run on windows 7 x32 due to limited spare time.]
Why ?
How to download and install ie 9 on windows 7 ?
See img attached

Is there a file called IE9... in .\client\w61-x64\glb?
If Not did You Run .\cmd\AddCustomLanguageSupport.cmd?
If not just open the Command Line (cmd.exe) and run
- Code: Select all
cd <your wsusou dir>\cmd
and
- Code: Select all
AddCustomLanguageSupport.cmd ita

By default wsusou just downloads the language specific files for German and English (only Vista / Office 2007 and newer) because the normal updates are for all langugaes. This script adds the language links to your static download list (ita = Italian).

Thanks, Now I'll re-run updater and re-run update installer and I'll tell you about the esit.
It could be usefull if when a user checks for something in italian (office, or windows), update generator could ask to the user if to add support for this language.
Or not ?

I think thats a go idea. For those, who use a computer with a different language than the target on, could still click "No".

What do you think?
