Some missing updates

Hi all,

Just found this program and have tested it out today.

I performed the download and update on the following system

windows xp pro sp3 oem with avg free 2012 installed, and office 2007.

No other software was installed, no updates were installed from Microsoft update website or Windows update website.

After running the update, and the system rebooted, I ran windows update and find the following updates are not installed.

Windows Genuine Advantage Notification (KB905474)

Update for Windows XP (KB961118)

Update for Windows XP (KB952287)

Update for Windows XP (KB951978)

******* Microsoft Office 2007

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Junk Email Filter (KB2687400)

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (KB2596598)

Microsoft Office File Validation Add-in

Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB967642)


So, I'm wondering if this is normal to miss these upates ?
Or did i do something wrong ?

Did you mark Install Office File Validation before pressing Start within UpdateInstaller.exe?

I am guessing that i must have missed ticking that option.
Is that why other updates were not installed ?

This is a great program, and FREE !!!

The majority of the other updates are not downloaded and installed by WSUSOU because they are not security related. WSUSOU does not care about optional, feature- and non-security-critical patches.

While this is rated critical by MS, it doesn't fit into an offline update and thus it's blacklisted.

But I wouldn't call it a bad idea to include it, malware doesn't need a net connection to spread.
