Missing updates after WSUS-Offlineupdate

Hi all,

I use WSUSOflineUpdate to increase the security and minimize the vulnerability of the fresh installed system before access the internet.
But always after running WSUSUpdate and enabling the inbuilt Windows Update there are several updates found for my system.

I have downloaded the 'missing updates' found by the inbuilt Windows Update and found some of them only accessible with Windows Genuine Test. But some of them could be downloaded without this check.

I wonder whether these missing updates really necessary or what's the reason WSUSUpdate does not download them.

Then I wonder, too, what happens to systems that are not 'Genuine' when those updates happen to appear in the 'Windows Updates List' - are they denied to download/install on those systems or does the inbuilt update ignore the "Genuine Check".

any advice appreciated

Stefan

Updates requiring Genuine Check will simply fail (with an errorlevel) to install on non-Genuine systems. Most of the updates WSUSOU installs are security related and will install fine in Notification mode, though.

Thanks for your answers.
There occurs another question to me:

Does Microsoft provide another updatelist which includes all those genuine updates and could probably be used to feed WSUSOfflineUpdate to induce a complete update?

No. The catalog wsusou uses is the only one.
