Bells and whistles

Sometimes when I don't have a lot of updating to do I forgo the automatic boot and recall. When I do that, I have to reboot the machine manually a few times. It would be helpful to accompany the reboot notice with a couple of beeps to alert the operator, who invariably will be working on something else at the time, that it is time to reboot the machine.

Also, it would be great if the update settings would persist for the duration of a manual update job. IAC, thanks much for a great tool.

The installer's original configuration can and should not be modified as it's read-only, in an ISO. But maybe there could be a temporary copy with the selected options that gets purged at the very end of the process (maybe scheduling deletion of that file in the same way as the log file display is right now).
