Registry Flag for Reboot Required

Is there a way for wsus offline update to put a flag in the system registry similiar the way the included windows update does showing that a reboot is required?

I am trying to run the wsus offline via script schedule and then rely on another process to restart the system--short of parsing the log file I would like a way to have a registry key created that would show that updates were installed successfully and that a reboot is required. And then need this key to auto delete once the system is restarted.

Thanks.

And sorry if this issue has been brought up in another forum post.

You may use the %errorlevel% wsusou gives on exit.
3011 means that you need to rerun wsusou
3010 means that your computer needs to be rebooted.
Maybe this information helps.

It's the script's return value which you can query using %errorlevel%.
