Dears,
I have been using wsusoffline for years. It has been working well for most of the servers. But recently, I met twice that the installation/update entered into endless mode.
I have uploaded the log file. Can you please give me suggestion on how to solve it?

I remember about a similar problem on Windows 10 10586 I had with a slipstreamed DVD.

Please try this:
Manually download these files

and install them in that order.
Then reboot and check, if it fixes your problem.

Unfortunately, The problem persists.

I see that your system says the license's grace time has expired. Is it possible that Windows not only doesn't find some updates when it's not activated but also blocks (or rolls back) the installation of some updates?

kb3172729 is an update for the SecureBoot-database dbx.
I know, it causes issues on Windows 10, if the Servicing Stack update related to it, doesn't get applied (even if a newer one is installed).

Attempt 2 (bypassing the Windows Update mechanism):
Move the two msu-files into an empty directory.
Open an administrative command prompt and enter these commands:

Code: Select all: cd /d "<your folder>" expand *kb3173424*.msu /f:*.cab . del WSUSSCAN.cab expand *kb3172729*.msu /f:*.cab . del WSUSSCAN.cab ren .\windows8.1-kb3173424-x64.cab 1_windows8.1-kb3173424-x64.cab ren .\windows8.1-kb3172729-x64.cab 2_windows8.1-kb3172729-x64.cab dism /Online /add-package /packagepath:.

Replace "<your folder>" with the full path to the directory (but do not remove the quotation marks).
Then post the result here.

The activation just prevents WUA from finding optional updates. If you manually install an optional msu/cab, it will get applied.

Due to the error message, I didn't apply the steps in production system.
But I tested in test environment, after I did it and run wsusoffline update again. The hotfix kb3172729 will be installed again.
