There already is an update available on Windows Update that informs users of the end-of-life of Win7 EOL (and IIRC the upgrade options), meaning there's no need for MS to implement total control of anything.

Why do you then think M$ finds it necessary to cheat their users by infecting their pc's with spyware via security updates?

I thought that it was clear that installing telemetry in a sneaky way is way different than "total control of any Win7 PC". Seems like I was wrong...

Well, I agree that "total" is (probably) not true yet.
But they take control over my pc's when they infect them, and tap data without my acceptance and knowledge.
Also, any assertion may be correct when it comes to M$ no matter how unbelievable it may look. Time has shown that they do exactly as they please.

Looks like you now cannot have security and privacy,any longer, but have to decide between them. Well, I'll never let these crap files into my system.
