version 11.6 is not updating

Hello,
I installed the latest version 11.6 but when I tried to update it didn't update and displayed this message

the previous version was working fine please advise.

Somehow I doubt that previous versions of WSUS Offline will behave any different, but you are free to try that out.
My guess is that your system has a problem with the Windows Update service, maybe the Windows Update database (since it takes over two minutes for the error to appear). Unfortunately I don't know how this can be fixed, but I hope someone else does.
How much RAM does your system have?

I don't think the problem in the system it's Optiplex 7060 , I'm going to try with another model to confirm but the previous version was working fine.
I'm using it with MDT as part of OSD and was working fine but after the update it's not updating.

I tried another model and I got same issue,
yes it's running with admin rights and it can write to temp.

Which Windows version are we talking about? If it's Windows 10 open PowerShell, enter
- Code: Select all
Get-WindowsUpdateLog > "%UserProfile%\Desktop\WOU_WindowsUpdate.log"
. If it's Win7 or 8.1 the log is located at C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log. Upload either log somewhere (preferably compressed with ZIP/RAR/7z) and post a link to it here.

the issue resolved
it was one of the applications unfortunately I couldn't know it but hopefully it's updating fine now.

Are you saying one of your applications prevented Windows Update and/or WSUS Offline from working correctly? If so, which application are talking about? Some system "protection"/"security" software?

Yes it's Silverlight 5 0 61118 0,
I'm investigating now why it's blocking from updating.

I tried a new silver light from Microsoft and it's working fine , it's modified silver light package and this package what's causing this issue.
