Hi,

im new to WSUSoffline n it's an awesome software.

I had downloaded all update patches successfully (some files in .cab, some in Microsoft Update Standalone Package).

I had executed UpdateInstaller and Update (Window Command Script) which inside client folder, but seems like WSUSoffline unabile to install all the downloaded patch files (for both format .cab and Microsoft Update Standalone Package).

Kindly advice.

i had install the .cab manually with the command below:-

start /w Pkgmgr /ip /m:c:\temp\Windows6.0-KB92xxx-x86.cab /quiet

PkgMgr is deprecated. WSUSOU uses WUSA for MSUs and DISM for CABs, which do not seem to work correctly on your system.

Vista doesn't get much love from MS, either. It will be EOL in about six months, anyway.

wsusou still uses PkgMgr, if dism is not available.

Do you have a log file? (C:\Windows\wsusofflineupdate.log)

im using Windows 7 Embedded 64bits now..

is it using dism?

i did used wsusoffline long time ago (around march 2016) n it can update .cab files successfully with same windows (Windows 7 Embedded).

I had tested to update with previous version.
10.6, 10.7.3, 10.7.4 all working well and automatically install all the .cab file.

just the latest version 10.8 doesnt work fine.

Is this info helpful for you or developer to troubleshoot?

So the update was successfully installed on the first try. Two subsequent tries to install the same update failed with the result code 2359302. According to the Windows Update error code list https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/938205 , the result code 2359302 = 0x00240006 is actually a success code:

0x00240006 WU_S_ALREADY_INSTALLED The update to be installed is already installed on the system

The error code 5100 may have various reasons. One reason could be, that a newer Visual C++ Runtime is installed, which is not recognized by the .Net Framework installer. This might explain, why it worked with previous versions of WSUS Offline Update.

It looks a little strane, that wsusou doesn't find any updates. Please check the file signature of .\client\wsus\wsusscn2.cab (Right click -> Properties -> Digital signature). It should be signed by MS and both signatures have to be valid.
