Hello, I recently downloaded this program to aid me in updating my windows 7 ultimate x64 when the Windows update client was in a permanent hang. It succeeded in downloaded a little over 200 updates. It is currently installing these updates and its at "installing update 2 of 9". While I was waiting, the Windows update client showed some life and suggest I restart to "finish installing important updates".

Here's my question -- must I restart after each individual update has been installed through the WSUS installer? Or do I simply wait until it's finished with everything before restarting?

Normally it shouldn't. But sometimes WUA is a little crazy...
Try the following:
- cancel wsusou by closing the cmd window
- set Windows Update to "Never search for updates"
- reboot
- retry wsusou
