Windoze XP ISO

Since no one can predict how long Microsoft will keep the patches for Windows XP in their update catalog file wsusscn2.cab after April 8th, 2014, I suggest to perform the following steps in order to keep XP update capability within WOU: Soon after April 8th, 2014, execute a download run for Windows XP using the most recent version of WOU, create an ISO image and keep it! :)

What is the advantage of creating an ISO over simply keeping a copy of the WSUSoffline folder with the bin, client, cmd, doc, exclude, etc. sub-folders? Then, when installing a fresh copy of WXP, we can simply run \wsusoffline-9.21\client\updateinstaller.exe

No difference between the two methods.
But I'd recommend you not to start the download again as that might slow down the update search or delete updates, where the links were taken down by MS.

Yes. I deleted "UpdateGenerator.exe" from the saved WSUSOffline-9.21 folder, so I wouldn't/couldn't accidentally run the update again.

You may just keep the client-folder. That's enough for installation.
