Updating a WIN 10 Computer left a Dummy WSUSTemp account

Postby tonybr » 09.08.2016, 22:22

I run a U3A computer group for pensioners

I was using WSUS on an elderly members computer but when it was finished, it left a dummy of false WSUSTemp account on the lock / logon screen

She can click on her account and all is fine, but I have been unable to remove this dummy entry no matter what I do.

There is no such account under USERS so it is a hidden entry somewhere. I did a search the registry but it didnt find it

Does anyone have any ideas

many Thanks in advance

Please run .\client\cmd\CleanupRecall.cmd with admin rights, reboot the system and then delete the account using the control panel. This should fix it.
