UpdateInstaller Does Not STart Batch

I built an updater using 9.2.1 for Windows XP and Office 2003. It worked on all dozen of my machines but one. The computer was running the updater and then the power went out. When I went back to start it again the UpdateInstaller.exe ran but when I click start it closed and the command prompt never came up. It is stuck in some kind of limbo.
What can I do?
