Offline Install / Update takes Forvever!

Hello,

I have downloaded all available updates for Windows 7 x64. I am currently installing the updates with the usb drive. I don't know why but It takes way too long just to install one individual update. It took literally all night (about 9 hours) just to install 10 updates. It is currently installing 2 of the 5 updates that has been running for 3 hours as of now. I have used this program years ago and it still takes at least 30min just to install one update. I was hoping it would of been different by now. I checked the current and past updates it has installed and they are only 1-2 Megabytes? It has taken 30+ minutes and counting to install a 1.5 Megabyte file that is running right now. I can just manually install each individual update and would be 10x faster than the automated program! Is this normal, anyone know why I this takes so long for one update? Even years ago, I had this issue.

4 core cpu
8gb ram
usb 3
no hardware problems

Thank you.

Does it work faster, if you copy wsusou to your local HDD first?
Any AV software installed and enabled?

Yes, thank you! I copied the usb contents to hdd and all 200 updates are done installing! I also found a suggestion to disable A/V, system restore, and set Windows Update to "Never Check for Updates" until offline install is done.
This should be noted in the wsusoffline readme file? If it took this long for usb then I can't imagine how long it would take for a dvd. Thanks again!

Must be something on your system, either AV interfering or very slow USB stick.
I use USB sticks with varying speeds but never had the problems you describe.
