Exclude list explanation

Exclude list explanation

Postby Zacarna » 28.10.2015, 17:14

Hello to all

I'm just facing this wonderful app and I discover you can exclude any update you want with excludelist.
My problem is how to manage it, I found many excludelist in their folder and I really don't know which one open/modify and why
Is there any guide about that?

Tks in advance

For download please use .\exclude\custom\ExcludeList-<platform>-<architecture>.txt.
For installation please use .\client\exclude\ExcludeList.txt

Platform Codes  viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3848

Just enter the ID of the update, you want to exclude (e.g. KB1234567).

OK, I don't know if it worked:
while I add to ExcludeList-w61-x64.txt list, in the \exclude\custom\ folder, the win 7 sp1 (KB976932), or the checkbox in the app GUI "Include service packs" bypass the exclusionlist, or the exclusionlist is not considered by the app

By my side, should be correct if the "Include service packs" is activated in the app, should be downloaded any service pack except those ones listed in the exclusionlist, otherwise it doesn't make sense

Maybe it's a bug (?)

The Exclude-Lists in \exclude\... are only for the dynamical downloads (via wsusscn2.cab)

SP's are statically defined via links in \static\...
In Your case (Win7 x64) that is \static\StaticDownloadLinks-w61-x64-glb.txt
