Office 2013 SP1 and Project and Visio

Office 2013 SP1 and Project and Visio

Postby gmilich » 29.05.2015, 18:06

Hi,

Sorry, if this a repeat, however I've looked through the forum and it's not clear to me if the Office Service Packs get automatically installed.
SOme post say yea and some say no.
On my download and update which I did on May 15 the Office 2013 Service did not get installed. What do I need to do to make this happen?

Also does WSUSOFFINE support patches for Office 2013 Project and Visio. If not, is there a quick change that I can make to the scripts to support this?

Thanks,
Greg

Are you using the Office 2013 x64 version?
Please see .\doc\faq-enu.txt:

A: Please call ...\cmd\AddOffice2010x64Support.cmd {lng} once to add their URLs to your custom static download definitions (see directory ...\static\custom).

wsusou supports the o2k13 SP1 for normal Office installations; Visio & Project are not supported.

OK, that's good.
Help What am I missing since it's not installing SP1? When I run a MBSA scan the results say Office 2013 SP 1 is missing.

Maybe the Project/Visio SP1 are named "Office 2013 SP1" too...
Please post the KB-number of the MBSA SP1

Hi,

The Office 2013 Service Pack 1 is KB2817430. Looks like this patch is in the .../client/o2k13/enu directory, not in the glb directory.

What is the difference between the enu and glb directories?

Thanks

"enu" applies to English versions, "glb" to all.

Hi,

Oh ... thanks for the clarification of en and glb .... I assume patches from both directories get applied ...

You were right the missing patches were for Visio and Project 2013 SP1 - even though MBSA said Office 2013.
Would it be difficult to extend WSUS Offline to update Visio and Project?

Thanks,
Greg
