I have just seen WSUS for the first time, very impressed.
My question
Is it still suitable for XP-PRO-SP3?

Sorry to be so naive, I take it there is a utility from within WSUS to download all updates for XP?
I am almost 80 and trying to keep up with computers without the money to upgrade.

wsusou is a utility to download all security relevant updates (
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=172) from MS (and your local WSUS, if exists) to be able to install them without an internet connection. It will install all security updates (+ some optional ones; e.g. IE 8) released for the specific OS.

Thank you, I am starting to understand a little more, I have downloaded from the archives and have found that version 9.2.1 seems to cater for my XP and Office 2003, it is now 5:00 am and later I will give it a start.
Again my sincere thanks and in particular for the link to the explanation.
