For some time now I've been trying to install patches, but each time try to run the UpdaterInstaller.exe I get the following:

No missing update found. Nothing to do!

Attempted Troubleshooting:

I ran command ...\cmd\ListMissingUpdateIds.vbs and the output is as follows:

ListMissingUpdateIds.vbs(17, 1) (null): A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider.

I've imported the certificates from the cab file, deleted the hash and cab file from download, tried reinstalled the WUA software, and reinstalling root certificates.

Any ideas?

Please post the change date and filesize of .\client\wsus\wsusscn2.cab and (if exists) the content of .\client\md\hashes-wsus.txt.

wsusscn2.cab date is 3/4/2015 and size is 110,449 KB. There isn't a hashes-wsus.txt file.

Please install .\client\win\glb\rootsupd.exe & rvkroots.exe, then try it again.

If this does not help, delete .\client\wsus\wsusscn2.cab and run a new download session.

I did that previously, I'll try again and let you know shortly.

I've deleted the wsusscn2.cab file and redownloaded.

I've reinstalled the rootupd.exe and rvkroots.exe.

The results haven't changed. I still have the same issue.

Then post some information about the computer:
- Windows Version
- logged in as admin?
- using the internal admin profile?
- pre-installed updates
- fresh install disc/ISO or OEM?
- AV software installed?
- please run DetermineSystemsProperties.vbs with admin rights and post the content of %temp%\SetSystemEnvVars.cmd
- post the content of C:\Windows\wsusofflineupdate.log.

- pre-installed updates Only SP1 I believe But wsusoffline worked before
- fresh install disc/ISO or OEM? It was a fresh install from over a year ago from a disk/ISO image of an OEM disc.
- AV software installed? Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.4112.4146
- please run DetermineSystemsProperties.vbs with admin rights and post the content of %temp%\SetSystemEnvVars.cmd

Please search for updates using MBSA to check, if there is a general problem with wsusscn2.cab.

You may also try to run wsusou from a local HDD, while disconnected form the internet and with AV disabled.
