Message "no missing updates found"

Hello,

one of my W2008R2 servers (actually a VMware virtual machine) has been displaying the "no missing updates found" message for three months now.
The server has no Internet connection and does not install updates automatically.
A few other servers (physical and virtual) are using the same WSUSOFFLINE repository and they install updates correctly, so WSUSOFFLINE is not at fault.
What am I doing wrong here?

PS: I have not found answers as the "no missing updates found" seem to be common words ignored by the search function.

I guess you meant "ListInstalledUpdateIds.vbs".
I took two roughly comparable W2008R2 VM servers, they have different but rather few roles and features installed.

What happens, if you try to manually install an update, which isn't installed by wsusou and Windows Update?

Hello aker,

I am a bit puzzled here, you'll see why ...
While I was looking on how to install a CAB file manually (your suggestion), I had manually mapped the Z: drive to my wsusoffline repository in order to browse it.
In the meantime I decided to launch the UpdateInstaller one more time (can't hurt, I thought), exactly the same way I always do (\\s-wsusserver\i$\wsusoffline\client\UpdateInstaller.exe) and .... it worked fine this time!
The only difference I see is the second line of the LOG file which usually points to z:\cmd and now points to z:\wsusoffline\client\cmd\ , the mapping I had just created.
Strange also because z:\cmd worked fine until 3 months ago ...
I don't really understand but the most important is done.

I am having the same problem. "no missing updates found" I am able to get the updates on one of my machines but I have 50 that have to be updated 24 are clones and the other 24 are clones. This started when I downloaded past installer version 9.0. Which was in November. I also have a co-worker who has 4 machines in which 3 will find updates and the 4th will not. These machines were cloned from 1 machine.

Hello all,

the problem described in my first post of this thread is back, but with another W2008R2 virtual server.
For 4 months in a row now, it has been claiming "No missing updates".
I just manually downloaded one recent critical patch (Security Update for Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 Edition (KB3108670) Windows6.1-KB3108670-x64.msu) directly from MS.
It installs fine and appears in the list of installed patches.
Again, I am rather perplexed and hope that some wizard has a great tip on how to get it going again.

Does MBSA list the update as missing, after wsusou installed all updates?
