I am new to the update process. I ran the offline update program, great by the way, and can see the updates, for example, WXP/Enu folder. The file sizes are 10KB with exception to the XP service pack that is 324,030 KB. I ran the program without checking the create the ISO for a CD/DVD. How do I update my offline systems with these updates. Thank to all who can reply.

Hello,
All file sizes are only 10kb? Then something went wrong with downloads. Delete these files and then do the downloads again.
To install updates, you only have to run the UpdateInstaller.exe in the client folder.

Many thanks. Would it be good practice to clear all subfolders under \client prior to running the UpdateGenerator.exe.

I am entering go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?Linkld=76054 for the WSUS URL.

You don't have to enter a WSUS server if you don't have one in your local network.
To download updates from the Microsoft server, you only have to mark the options you need and then start the download.

There were four entries in the command window following the update installer.
The entries: "Info: Skipping update KB...... due to matching black list entry" What does this mean?

Currently some updates are not installed or even downloaded. This is because they either aren't security related or require an internet connection, which makes no sense for an offline update. Two examples:
KB890830 - Malicious Removal tool
KB976002 - Browserchoice for EU users
They are only blacklisted from WSUSOU, after getting the machine online, they will be processed anyway by Windows Update itself.
