win 7 home premium 64bit - "not supported"

Postby belmond » 05.10.2014, 21:56

Hello

After the install of a new hard drive, and fresh installation of windows 7 home premium from digitalriver, i am trying to install some updates offline.

On my other computer, when running the UpdateGenerator i selected the windows 7 x64, with include service packs, clean up download directories, verify downloaded updates and include c++ runtime options checked. It downloaded about 1.2gig of updates. When i copied the client folder to a usb stick, copied it to my other computer (with the fresh windows 7 install) and run the UpdateInstaller, i get the message:

Medium does not support Microsoft Windows <w61 -x64 enu>

...and nothing is installed. What does this mean?

It means, that you have to download the updates using UpdateGenerator.exe before.
Select "Windows 7 x64-Global".
