Version 9.1 missing wxp directory on DVD

Version 9.1 missing wxp directory on DVD

Postby chenwsu » 10.04.2014, 00:53

Hello ...,
there is no directory "wxp" etc created on the DVD for XP.
It exist on the disk but not on the DVD.

You will have the result
“Info: Medium does not support Microsoft Windows (wxp x86 enu)
Error: Medium neither supports your Windows nor your Office version”

Version 9.0 works correctly.

Hi Harrry,
I have created an ISO image for XP only. No office was included. It has taken 1,9 GB at version 9.0. It means that it not exceeded the capacity of a DVD.
You can't assume that this will be the reason.
The error message is
“Medium does not support Microsoft Windows (wxp x86 enu).”
“ERROR: Medium neither supports your Windows nor your Office version.”
That's right but it doesn't explain that there is no support at version 9.1 more.
Thanks

It's the tree from 9.1.
And you can have the UpdateGenerator.ini.
You can check my choice.

Maybe you run into the same size problem. Just some hours ago I've produced an XP *.iso image; size: about 4.9 GByte

As just mentioned in the "misc" part of this forum: I'd prefer to write such an *.iso onto an USB stick. Under Linux: nearly no problem, and under windows the google search for "iso to usb stick" shows some programs for this job, p.e. http://www.computerbild.de/download/ISO-to-USB-6559588.html

That sounds just wrong, XP ISO is 1.5 GiB for me, like always (created with #571).

My XP ISO (including .NET & C++ & XP SP2) is about 2 GB, so 4.9 GB is definitely too big.

Yes - that's right. There was another error (http://forums.wsusoffline.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4211) which inflated the *.iso.

Should be corrected soon.
