You can update XP Mode as a normal Windows XP Professional.

Select Windows XP (legacy products) in UpdateGenerator, start download, copy the client folder into the VM and run UpdateInstaller.

But don't use the autoreboot/autorecall-feature of wsusou, in my VM it failed to autologon the wsusou temp admin.

If you want to use AutoReboot, you have to disable the integration tools first. The VM will be fully accessible, then.

Thank you very much for your replies.
As I have not previously installed updates without using autoboot /autorecall I wonder if you could advise how it works without this - manual reboot ? - manually assisted temp admin login ??
Thank you once again

Autorecall creates a temporary admin user and enables autologon for it. Then adds a autorun for wsusou for this user. Then the computer is rebooted.
