[SOLVED] How do I upgrade from One Build Version to Another?

I am just starting out on version 8.5, but when the time comes to go to the next version, how do I ensure that I don't loose the updates that I have already saved?

I haven't been able to find the documentation on that yet.

Thanks for the help.

WSUSOU has a built-in update function (if you are using UpdateGenerator.exe and the [Miscellaneous] section of UpdateGenerator.ini doesn't contain a line checkouversion=Disabled). Checking for updates is the default.

see also .\doc\faq-enu.txt:
.\doc\faq-enu.txt wrote:Q: How can I update "WSUS Offline Update" itself?
A: As long as release notes or installation hints don't recommend other, you may unpack a new version's archive (.zip) over/into an existing structure, if you let existing files be overwritten.
Of course you may use the automatic self update functionality instead.
