I recently downloaded and made a Windows XP update ISO using WSUS Offline Update version 8.3. The install seemed to go OK but when I connected to the internet Windows Update told me I needed to install KB2728973 (Unauthorized digital certificates could allow spoofing). Shouldn't WSUS Offline Update have installed that update on my Windows XP SP3 x86 system?

KB2728973 is rvkroots.exe and is downloaded by UpdateGenerator to .\client\win\glb !
Are you sure to haved marked "Update Root Certificates" in UpdateInstaller.exe? Please have a look at your %SystemRoot%\wsusofflineupdate.log.

Any idea what's going on? I have the rvkroots.exe dated and signed by Microsoft 12/31/2012.

Check for Updates means visiting the Windows Update website
