Hallo,

wir haben immer wieder Fehler der Art:
unable to resolve host address `download.windowsupdate.com'
mitten im Updatevorgang, nachdem die Adresse
`download.windowsupdate.com' vorher schon richtig aufgelöst wurde.

Kann jemand helfen?

Werden ''spezielle'' DNS-Server benutzt, wie OpenDNS? Microsoft hostet gerne über Akamai, OpenDNS hat manchmal erhebliche Probleme damit.

Anpingen dieser URL bringt etwas seltsame Resultate.

Sieht nach einem Content-Distribution-System aus...

Ich benutze als DNS-Server zur Zeit 213.73.91.35 (Chaos Computer Club Berlin),
habe auch schon mehrere andere versucht, keine Unterschiede.
Gibt es eine Empfehlung für einen freien DNS-Server?

"ipconfig /flushdns" hilft manchmal aber nicht immer.

B. Hohlfeld

Auch schon mal die Standard-DNS-Server versucht? Ich persönlich benutze Unbound und spreche direkt mit dem Backbone DNS. Das funktioniert einwandfrei hier und hat weitere Vorteile (keine ''Fehlerseite'' bei nichtexistierenden Domains etc.).

Die öffentlichen DNS Server wie OpenDNS, Comodo, Google, CCC werden von vielen benutzt und können daher manchmal in die Knie gehen. Am besten ist es, einen Primary und Secondary DNS Server zu benutzen, mit Tandem-Requests, wenn es sein muß.

Das Symptom gibt es hier auch. Ist doch eigenartig, daß ansonsten alles funktioniert, beim Browsen/Mailen/FTP... gibt es nie derartige Meldungen. Nur wsusoffline bringt jedes Mal bei einigen Updates diese Fehler. Hier sind übrigens 85.214.73.63 / 213.73.91.35 als DNS-Server eingetragen.

Können Sie denn Updates aus dem MS Download Center herunterladen?

Ja das funktioniert. Hab jetzt mal die Reihenfolge der DNS-Server vertauscht und beobachte es. Trotzdem merkwürdig.

Hat keine durchschlagende Änderung gebracht. Hier mal das heutige Ergebnis:

Da verstehe ich 2 Dinge nicht:
zum einen könnte wsusoffline es in solchen Fällen nicht einfach nochmals versuchen (bzw. die IP von vor einer Sekunde nehmen - die wird ja wohl noch stimmen), statt Fehlermeldungen zu produzieren?
Zum anderen sind beim 2.Durchlauf andere Dateien betroffen - warum wurden die beim 1.Mal nicht angezeigt? kb2698365, kb975713 usw. wurden außerdem teils schon vor Jahren heruntergeladen?!
