Splitting old v11 update set to v11 ESR and v12

Do I understand this right that to perform the splitting I have to:

1. make a copy of the old set (i. e. wsusoffline directory)
2. unpack new versions of WSUS OU to corresponding directories
3. delete:
   
   • client\w61 and client\w61-x64 in v12 update set
   • client\w63 and client\w63-x64 in v11 ESR update set
