Systemlaufwerk-Hauptverzeichnis? Wenn die Rechte da sind, einverstanden. Das Hauptverzeichnis ist halt unter Vista/7 geschützt.

Der UpdateInstaller läuft doch so oder so mit Adminrechten, oder???
Wer Rechtschreibfehler findet, darf sie behalten oder an den Meistbietenden versteigern. / Everybody finding a misspelling is allowed to keep or sell it.

Ja, aber das muß nicht unbedingt für DxDiag zutreffen.

Der wird doch von DoUpdate.cmd gestartet. Die hat Adminrechte.

Bei Kommandozeile (aus Erfahrung) leider nicht immer. Früher hatte ich den Downloader als Admin gestartet, trotzdem hat invcif.exe ab und zu noch mal nachgefragt. Allerdings könnte es jetzt besser klappen (SP1?).

Irgendwas scheint aber immer noch nicht ganz zu funktionieren, ich bekomme mit Win7 x64 immer noch die Fehlermeldung von findstr und auch die dxdiag.txt wird im Temp-Ordner nicht gelöscht.
Stören die Anführungszeichen der Pfadangaben dort ebenfalls ?

Ich bin mir fast sicher dass es ein API gibt womit man der Version von d3dx9_43.dll ausfragen kann.
Zum Beispiel hier:

Nein, das ist ein Timing-Problem! :(
Nach einiger Zeit ist die Datei vorhanden und

Klar kann man das.
Die Dateiversion von d3dx9_43.dll lautet nur "9.29.952.3111" und nicht "DirectX 11" o.ä. ...
