Stalled on Listing ids of missing updates

I was able to fix this problem on 64bit Windows 7 by applying the following patch:

servocrow's solution of stopping win update service kind of worked for me. But, I had to manually shut down when it finished and now every time I boot up I am WOUTempAdmin and nothing more happens.
