WOUTempAdmin stuck

Postby Welshdragon » 05.08.2016, 15:34

Win 7 x64, is stuck on the WOUTempAdmin Account

I am accessing the laptop remotely, so do not currently have physical access to the laptop.

In the instructions it mentions to "Then merge the backed up values back into the registry by double-clicking the "%SystemRoot%\wsusbak-winlogon.reg" file and confirming the prompt. Then you can delete that file.", exactly how & where do I merge please, (been at this for hours, overtired, brain is currently fried).

Thank in advance

UPDATE:

The laptop keeps closing & rebooting

How to merge a reg file:
Just double click it.
(alternative, if you are in a command prompt: regedit /s "...\xxx.reg")

Could you provide me some info, where exactly wsusou hangs / please describe the reboot-loop a little more.
Where do you run wsusou from?
The content of "C:\Windows\wsusofflineupdate.log" would be helpful, too.
