17025 errors with MS Office 2010

I've seen this on a couple of computers recently.

I'm running a script to run the offline updater and recall on reboot, and on some computers it just keeps trying to install the updates, throwing the error 17025, restarting, and then trying again. It loops until I kill it.

Is there a way to fix this, or can I catch these errors and drop out of the loop automatically and warn me that something is wrong?

Which update does wsusou try to install again and again?
Could you provide a screenshot of the cmd window after one or two loops?

17025 means "update already installed" ( https://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/lib ... 14%29.aspx)

I don't think so. I used to use them about six months ago, but I recently wiped my entire WSUS folder and recreated it, so I shouldn't be.

I do have files in the \wsus\static and \wsus\static\custom folders. Should these be empty?

The static folders shouldn't be, but the custom ones should on a normal wsusou install.
Please also check .\client\static\custom.

Sorry to take so long on this. So I removed my c:\wsus folder (where I keep the updates), recreated it and ran updategenerator.exe. I told it to copy the updates to c:\wsus and let it download the updates.

I'm still getting -2145124329 on some updates (KB2820331-x64 and KB2932414-x64) for instance.

A fresh WSUSOU copy doesn't have anything in the "custom" directories. Those are user-maintained and not written to by WSUSOU (only read from).
