Updates not installing

Hello,

WSUS Offline Update isn't installing updates any more for new installations of Windows 7. The last 2 I did, one was a laptop, and the other in a VM. In the VM, the OS had Internet access and I thought Windows itself may be interfering, so with the laptop, I didn't even connect it to a network - I just tried to install the updates after installing the OS.

The process seemed to go through OK, the laptop rebooted a few times, but when I asked it to check Windows Update, it found 200+ updates, a lot of them "Security Updates" which I thought WSUSOffline should have installed.

Is there something I'm not doing correctly?

Hello Steve,

This is a known problem existing since a few days. The community is already having an eye on it without any solution yet. It could be a problem on Windows 7 with the update catalog file, but these are just guesses right now.
