Exclude Updates

Exclude Updates

Postby mpfrench » 14.12.2015, 21:34

It would be very beneficial to implement a method of excluding the installation of a specific set of Windows updates. For instance, when I perform a clean install of Win 7-8, I don't want to install the telemetry spyware or the nagware of "upgrading" to Win 10. As it is now, I must go back and manually uninstall KB3080149, KB3075249, KB3035583, KB2952664, KB3068708, KB3083710, KB3083711, KB2977759, KB2976978, and then hide each update to keep from installing them again.

Does wsusou install them?
Aa far as I know, it does not.
For excluding updates please use .\client\exclude\custom\ExcludeList.txt.

Most of those aren't security-related and not installed by WSUSOU. But please note that every new Windows installation with the default settings will start downloading/installing Updates by itself as soon as it is online. That includes 'recommended' Updates and thus most of the Spy stuff.
